Concord is grown on a greater variety of soils and under a wider range of climatic conditions than any other variety of American grape. Its vine is vigorous and productive, ripening in early to mid-October in New York. The suitability of Concord fruit for multiple purposes gives it a large market potential. It is the most important variety for sweetest juice, jelly, and preserves, and it is also used in quantity for wine production and fresh market sales.

White Concord's produces medium-sized clusters bearing large, white berries. It is typical of the American V. labrusca-derived grapes in having a skin which separates readily from the pulpy flesh (slipskin). The pronounced fruity, V. labrusca flavor of Concord makes it a desirable dessert grape. It is the leading table grape variety in New York.

These White Concord grapes are extremely hardy, vigorous plants and grows rapidly. Grow your own grapes and you won’t believe how easy and rewarding it can be. The grapes ripen in late September, but can be picked a bit earlier for preserves. Self-pollinating and vigorous, Concord grapevines have been known to produce excellent crops for well over 30 years. The grapes have a long shelf life of several weeks if left on the cluster and refrigerated.

They grow best in full sun with a fence or trellis for support. Grape juice and grape jellies and jams are long-time favorites of children and adults alike. These products contain natural carbohydrates that are easily digested and provide instant energy. America’s favorite grape juice and grape jelly come from Concord grapes! Concord grape juice jams and jellies are low in sodium and contain no fat or cholesterol.
